SUN Seminar

SUN Republican Women is accepting registrations for its spring seminar designed to inform and empower Republicans to make a difference in their own communities, and at the state and federal levels.  Men, women, young or experienced – all are welcome to learn together and network.

The morning will include a series of short training sessions.  After lunch some of our area’s state legislators will discuss policy issues facing the citizens of Pennsylvania, including the budget and property tax relief.

March is Reading Awareness Month

Did you know that Republican Women all across the country encourage the development of reading skills as the precursor to children securing good educations and chasing big dreams?

Motivated by the literacy programs of NFRW, each year our council reaches out within the SUN area to provide books to at-risk children.  Some of our recent projects include providing for a reading nook in a community non-profit agency, donating books to a Title I elementary school, and donating books to the public libraries in all three of our counties.

SUNACRW  believes reading and writing is fundamental to success.

Coupons for Overseas Military

SUNACRW continues to support military family stationed abroad by helping them stretch their buying power by providing coupons to be used in on-base stores.   PXs accept current and expired coupons allowing us to send a wide variety of coupons.

SUNACRW has been participating in Coupons for Military for several years.  However, please note that we are changing distribution programs since our previous contact is no longer stationed in South Korea.

The new program has different rules.  Only food, baby, basic household and toiletries coupons are accepted.  No makeup or hair products.  The types of coupons do not need to be sorted, but ones with current dates need to be sorted from those which have expired up to 3 months ago.  Bring your unused coupons to our meetings or contact sunacrw@gmail.com for arrangements to donate your clippings.
