Celebrating Ronald Reagan
Seventy people turned out to celebrate the 99th birthday of President Ronald Reagan.
Peg Luksik reminded us that Reagan always remembered he represented the common man and treated everyone with respect and courtesy.
Larry Weidman played clips of Reagan interviews and spoke of historical context of the Spring 1980 election.
Many new members paid their dues. Dick Rodgers and Loretta Sprenkle won copies of Sarah Palin’s book, Going Rogue: An American Life. Going Rogue is the current reading for our book club.
We look forward to our newest members becoming active throughout 2010.
Special thanks to Dan Clark, our speakers Peg Luksik and Larry Weidman, our photographer Keith Ordorf and Russ Diamond, candidate for Lt. Governor who sponsored our event.
Make plans to join us in February 2011 when we will celebrate President Ronald Reagan’s 100th Birthday in bigger and better ways.

Reagan Birthday Party Rescheduled
The snow moved in and with it we made the tough decision to reschedule our event. Unfortunately all the remaining Saturdays in February were already booked at Grace Covenant Community Church so we have had to reschedule at a different venue. We are very thankful for GCCC’s kindness to us.
The new date is February 20th at the Freeburg Fire Company 4-7 p.m. The details for the event remain the same. Please join us and bring your friends. Tickets are available from any SUNACRW member or at the door.
4:15 Peg Luksik will speak about her work with President Reagan on values issues.
5:00 Larry Weidman will reflect upon his experiences with Ronald Reagan on the 1980 campaign trail.
Directions: U.S. 15 to PA Route 35 at the southern end of Selinsgrove. Go west until you enter Freeburg. The Freeburg Fire Company is on the left side of PA Route 35/Market Street with parking near the building.

Evangelical Hospital’s Children’s Health Fair
SUNACRW participated at Evangelical Hospital’s Children’s Health Fair at the Susquehanna Valley Mall on January 30. We provided emergency preparedness handouts for children and their families.
The children were able to make and color valentines to be delivered through the Valentines for Vets program.
