Celebrating Ronald Reagan

Seventy people turned out to celebrate the 99th birthday of President Ronald Reagan.

Peg Luksik reminded us that Reagan always remembered he represented the common man and treated everyone with respect and courtesy.

Larry Weidman played clips of Reagan interviews and spoke of historical context of the Spring 1980 election.

Many new members paid their dues.  Dick Rodgers and Loretta  Sprenkle won copies of Sarah Palin’s book, Going Rogue: An American Life.  Going Rogue is the current reading for our book club.

We look forward to our newest  members becoming active throughout 2010.

A big thank you to Dan Clark who loaned us his collection of Reagan memorabilia.

Special thanks to Dan Clark, our speakers Peg Luksik and Larry Weidman, our photographer Keith Ordorf and Russ Diamond, candidate for Lt. Governor who sponsored our event.

Make plans to join us in February 2011 when we will celebrate President Ronald Reagan’s 100th Birthday in bigger and better ways.
