Birth Certificate Fee Rises

Effective July 1, 2014, the application fees for a certified copy of a birth certificate ordered via mail or in person will be increased from $10 to $20. First copies for new births will still be offered free of charge and fees may be waived for individuals or their dependent(s) who served or are currently serving in the Armed Forces. All requests that are postmarked prior to July 1, but arrive after July 1, will be processed by the Pennsylvania Department of Health at the current $10 rate.
