We’re proud to win a PFRW award for our 2014 scrapbook, but are more proud of the warm comments that recognized the variety and effectiveness of our council’s events, issues training and projects. Thank you to all our ladies who work hard all year through to advance women in politics/government and effect good government.

More Revisionist History
Conservatives have long been concerned about the rewriting of American history. That concern is still well founded as we head into another school year when school districts begin to use newly purchased curriculum which build on the distortions previously told. Of immediate concern is the revisions to AP History, taught to advanced high school students, which eliminates study of the Pilgrims, de Tocqueville, Benjamin Franklin and Abraham Lincoln among others. How can one rightly learn U.S. History without including these and other formative people and events? One simply cannot.

The Importance of Our Scrapbooks
PFRW Councils use scrapbooking as a method to document their activities each year. Over time the photos and mementos give a clear picture of a council’s commitment to good government, community and republican values.
PFRW sponsors a scrapbook contest at its bi-annual conference which will be held in Pittsburg in two weeks, but more importantly browsing the scrapbooks gives us an opportunity to share our year with other councils and get new ideas from them.
Last evening SUNACRW finished documenting our year. Now we have a renewed excitement of the plans and purposes for the upcoming months and years. Won’t you join us as a new member? We’d love to have you!
