Reagan on Immigration

The simple truth is that we’ve lost control of our own borders, and no nation can do that and survive.

“We are Winning Women!”

President Mary Barket announced the 2016 PFRW theme, “We are Winning Women!”  The theme celebrates that Republican Women are a vastly talented group of women who are winners in their personal and professional lives, making great contributions to our Commonwealth, communities and nation.

Activities throughout 2016 will follow the theme, including the PFRW Convention in Gettysburg later this year and associated council competitions.

SUNACRW Recognized for Its Participation with the Barbara Bush Literacy Program

2015 Literacy Certificate

In 2002, the NFRW Literacy Committee launched NFRW Literacy Month. Each September, local clubs have the opportunity to share their community literacy projects and ideas with other councils.  SUNACRW has been recognized for its continued activities to promote literacy within the tri-county area.  SUNACRW continues to add to a pre-school library for at-risk children within a local community organization providing services to women and their young children.  Over the years SUNACRW members have contributed dozens of books to this effort, acted as adult literacy tutors and promotes reading as a road to success.

We believe as Barbara Bush, ““The American Dream is about equal opportunity for everyone who works hard. If we don’t give everyone the ability to read and write, then we aren’t giving everyone an equal chance to succeed.”

NFRW: Republican Women Leading the Way

We value our relationship with Republican women from all across the nation.  NFRW leads the way for women in political activity and citizenship.

National Federation of Republican Women

Engaging and Empowering Women Since 1938

Mission

Founded in 1938, the National Federation of Republican Women is one of the largest grassroots political organizations in the country with thousands of active members in local clubs across the nation.

We empower women from all backgrounds in the political process and provide a forum for women to serve as leaders in the political, government, and civic arenas.

Our objectives are to:

  • Inform the public through political and legislative education, training and activity;
  • recruit, train and elect Republican candidates;
  • protect the integrity of our electoral process;
  • promote the principles, objectives and policies of the Republican Party;
  • unite and facilitate cooperation among the state and club organizations; and,
  • increase the effectiveness of women in the cause of good government.

Membership

A Republican woman becomes a member by joining her local club or through a national at-large membership. Members of a local club also are granted membership in their state federations. State federations are chartered under the auspices of the NFRW but operate under their own bylaws. Although independent, state bylaws must not conflict with the NFRW Bylaws.
