Thanks to the generosity of area residents almost 1000 Christmas cards were mailed to the three units SUNACRW supports on an ongoing basis. In addition to the cards three boxes of supplies and goodies were sent to help make the holidays a little brighter for these service men and women. Thank you to everyone who donated to the cause.
Jolene, our Support Our Troops chair, mails packages to units in Germany, Iraq and Afghanistan.

The SUN Area Council of Republican Women are accepting signed Christmas cards (in bulk) to send to our troops in overseas. Through our Support Our Troops Committee we have adopted troops and regularly send care packages. It has come to our attention that several soldiers do not receive as much as a Christmas Card at Christmas time. If you would like to send Christmas cards, or items to our troops, please contact one of our officers to arrange pick-up by MONDAY, NOVEMBER 23, 2009. Thanks for helping to make a soldier’s life merry for the holidays.

SUNACRW was awarded second place in two scrapbook categories at the Pennsylvania Federation of Republican Women convention. That’s awesome for a newly formed council. Christena Harder and Tami Tiller represented us at PFRW.
