Valentines for Vets
SUNACRW visited the Wilkes-Barre Veteran’s Administration Hospital to deliver the valentines made by children at the Evan Hospital Health Fair. Our women spent an hour entertaining and interacting with the inpatient veterasn who served our country in wartime from WWII, Korea and Vietnam.

Reagan Birthday Party
Despite the snow and cold weather area Republicans turned out to honor President Ronald Reagan at SUNACRW’s Legacy of Reagan Dinner at the Watson Inn. After a wonderful meal, Jeffrey Lord related stories of Reagan the principled man. Mr. Lord’s memories of President Reagan reminded us that our 40th president was one of exceptional character.

| National Federation of Republican Women Honors President Reagan’s Centennial ALEXANDRIA, Va. – Sue Lynch, president of the National Federation of Republican Women (NFRW), issued the following statement in recognition of the 100th birthday of President Ronald Reagan on February 6: “The NFRW and its members are honoring the Centennial of President Ronald Reagan, who most Americans revere as one of our nation’s greatest and most enduring leaders. President Reagan was a loyal friend to the NFRW during his time in elected office, and the NFRW continues to be a staunch supporter of our 40th president. During this time of remembrance, we are proud to recognize President Reagan’s rich legacy as a beacon of freedom to the entire world, and we will continue to embrace his core belief, that for America, ‘there will always be a bright dawn ahead.’ Happy Birthday, Mr. President!” Founded in 1938, the NFRW has thousands of active members in local clubs across the nation and in several U.S. territories, making it one of the largest women’s political organizations in the country. The grassroots organization works to promote the principles and objectives of the Republican Party, elect Republican candidates, inform the public through political education and activity, and increase the effectiveness of women in the cause of good government.
