Republican women in Snyder, Union and Northumberland counties, won’t you join us on November 6 when we learn about Pennsylvania’s history in a fun engaging way, while writing Christmas cards for U.S. Border Patrol agents deployed to the southern border?

Campaign, Public Policy and Current Events
Strong conservative turnout is vital for a positive outcome of the November 4 election. In odd-numbered years, many are unaware of the election or may think the positions aren’t as important as in even years when we elect governors, attorney generals and presidents. But that’s unfortunate because this year we have the opportunity to elect those who govern our lives most directly – school board members, municipal and township board members, and judges of election. There are also judicial elections this year, including open seats on the statewide Superior and Commonwealth appellate courts; and retention elections that, if won, confer another 10-year term on five sitting jurists (3 PA Supreme Court justices, 1 Superior Court judge, and 1 Commonwealth Court judge), all Democrats.
Some of the topics discussed during SUNACRW’s October meeting:
- Resolutions passed by NFRW at its recent national convention, including Keep 9 (maintaining 9 judges on the US Supreme Court) and a Resolution Condemning Political Violence & Defending Free Speech in Memory of Charlie Kirk.
- PA specific issues: Democrat bills to restrict gun rights, the overdue PA Budget, the Federal “shutdown”.
- Grassroots efforts and leaders in Pennsylvania.
- Immigration.

“A republic, if you can keep it.”
So was Benjamin Franklin’s response to Elizabeth Willing Powel’s question: “Well, Doctor, what have we got, a republic or a monarchy?
Our September meeting kicked off with a short video followed by robust discussion about our American government. Although many people refer to America as a Republic, it is not; and the difference is not language, but a government by and for the people.

Angel Bags Initiative: SUNACRW Supports Trafficking Survivors
Human trafficking, a horrific violation of human rights, disproportionately impacts female victims in Pennsylvania, particularly along major traffic corridors like Route 15, the main route through our counties. Vulnerable women and girls are coerced into sex trafficking and forced labor, exploited by traffickers who capitalize on their desperation or lack of support. Victims are frequently hidden in plain sight.
In an active August, SUNACRW volunteered with Fierce Love 4 Good sorting and packing angel bags for girls who are rescued from human trafficking.

Symbols of Freedom
The majestic Statue of Liberty’s Torch, the beacon of freedom and liberty, is proudly held high by Lady Liberty.

The NFRW Americanism Program seeks to promote respect and allegiance to the United States. We honor our country’s history, flag, customs and institutions. We also work to secure a strong America for tomorrow’s generations.
The Statue of Liberty is one of the most recognizable statues in the world. It is often seen as a symbol of freedom and justice, core principles in the Declaration of Independence, the U.S. Constitution and the Bill of Rights. The Statue of Liberty is also a statue of a woman. With Lady Liberty’s Torch calmly leading the way, she inspires generations of Americans to bring freedom and stability to her people.
Today, Republican women have the opportunity to provide inspirational leadership to light the pathway for American greatness. Together we can make a real difference and shape the future of our great nation. Join us as we work toward a brighter tomorrow, fueled by the values of everyday Americans.
