Insights from a State Representative’s Office

Elizabeth Canfield, District Legislative Aide for Representative David Rowe, attended our meeting. She shared insights into a State Representative’s daily responsibilities and expressed her passion for serving Pennsylvanians. Members valued the direct interaction, asking questions and learning how to address their concerns through state government channels.

SUNACRW members toured Expectations Women’s Center at Lewisburg.  We learned about services offered to an expecting mom or dad, including the Earn to Learn program which teaching parenting and sufficiency skills.  Our members donated items and learned of volunteer opportunities. 

Understanding Polling Place Personnel and Voting Methods

At our March meeting we discussed who it is you will see when entering the polling place to vote and why these elected positions are important.  They also discussed the difference in voting in person, a mail-in ballot, an absentee ballot, a military ballot, and a emergency ballot.
