Happy 2017!

2017-graphic-1

SUNACRW is beginning the new year with renewed focus and vigor to support activities and candidates that ascribe to our goals of good government.  We begin this year with an incoming Republican president and a stronger majority in both the federal and state legislatures.  We expect much out of these leaders, as well as ourselves as we focus on issues that affect Americans everyday.

SUNACRW is a growing group of women of all ages; won’t you join us today?  Email sunacrw@gmail.com for more information.

SUNACRW November Meeting

SUN Area Republican Women will hold its November meeting at the Union County Republican Committee’s office on Thursday November 3 at 6:30 p.m.  We will be discussing “The Importance of Women in Winning Elections”, sharing about the upcoming election and enjoying wonderful snacks.

The UCRC headquarters is located at 1130 West Branch Highway (Rt. 15), Winfield in the Central Penn Carpet Plaza.

“We are Winning Women!”

President Mary Barket announced the 2016 PFRW theme, “We are Winning Women!”  The theme celebrates that Republican Women are a vastly talented group of women who are winners in their personal and professional lives, making great contributions to our Commonwealth, communities and nation.

Activities throughout 2016 will follow the theme, including the PFRW Convention in Gettysburg later this year and associated council competitions.

The Route 15 Corrider: Sex Trafficking is Here

stop-human-trafficking

The SUN Area stands at the crossroads of quick, easy transportation through Pennsylvania and into surrounding states.  Route 15 is considered to be a highly used roadway for the sex trafficking industry.  While this activity remains below many consciences, Central Pennsylvania is being greatly affected by this $32 billion dollar industry.

We need to know what’s happening right in front of us!  Expose this dark business!

Our sister council, Williamsport-Lycoming County Council of Republican Women, will welcome a special speaker on this topic at their monthly luncheon.  Everyone is welcome to attend and learn more.
